Ever since inception in 2006, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's Bhagwandas Purohit Vidya Mandir, Ashti, Nagpur has been consistently scaling covated heights of glory since 18 years of its existence producing City Toppers, Regional Toppers, National Toppers among Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's School all over India since 2016. The school provides education which is a fine blend of modernity and tradition. CBSE National Science Exhibtion 2024

The school team comprising of Mast. Shaurya Khule and Mast. Sparsh Ninawe participated and secured 1st Prize for presenting their work based on Agricultural Theme "Development of Cellulose based Nano - Hydrogel using paper for agriculture" They were qualified for CBSE National Level Science Exhibition.

Swachh Vaani Boliye

Acknowledging the importance of ethical behaviour and polite language, a talk was organized on the topic of ‘Swachh Vaani Boliye’ on 2nd February 2024. The objective of this talk was to make the students aware of moral values and good behaviour and practise it in their day to day life. Dr Pragya Mathur was the resource person. She focused on the significance of good language, etiquettes and manners and its important role in making our lives successful. She also emphasized that usage of bad language has an adverse effect on our life.

Mastering Culinary Arts to celebrate Bagless Day

National Education Policy (NEP-2020), Bagless Day was observed in Bhavan’s Bhagwandas Purohit Vidya Mandir, Ashti on 2nd February 2024 in Bal Mandir premises. The objective of this activity was to get hands-on experience of Mastering Culinary Arts and to enhance creativity, confidence, patience and concentration among students. Class VII Scout and Guide Students, who were told to come to school without their school-bags, participated in this event. Mrs Kashmira Singh demonstrated the students how to make a rose out of a tomato and a bird out of an apple to garnish the salad or decorate the dishes or eatables. She gave the students some tips regarding cooking skills. Around 180 Scout and Guide students of Class VII participated in the activity and tried to make a tomato rose and an apple bird. They also prepared some food items using their Culinary Skills

Workshop on Tie and Dye, and Block Printing

NEP-2020 has given lots of emphasis on promoting skill education in school. It make the students confident and independent. These qualities make students successful in the life, As part of Experiential Learning, a workshop on Tie and Dye, and Block Printing was organized at Bhavan’s Bhagwandas Purohit Vidya Mandir, Ashti on 3rd February 2024. The objective of the workshop was to enhance creativity and aesthetic sense of the students thereby developing their patience, concentration and fascination for Art and Craft activities. 185 Class VII Scout and Guide students participated in the workshop. All the students were provided with big handkerchiefs, painting tables, acrylic paint and various blocks with different shapes and sizes.

A Workshop on First Aid Skill

In order to deal with today’s frequent occurrence of emergency situations and the need to be prepared for it, a Workshop on First Aid was organized in Bhavan’s Bhagwandas Purohit Vidya Mandir, Ashti on 3rd February 2024. Dr Kaustubh Chautpalliwar, working as Training Centre Coordinator and Life Support Instructor at Alexis Multi-Speciality Hospital, Nagpur conducted an hour long workshop. In this workshop, he discussed at length the First-Aid to be administered in various life-threatening conditions like asphyxia (loss of consciousness due to the interruption of breathing), bleeding, burns, fainting, wounds, muscle injuries, honeybee-bite etc. He said, “Until the arrival of professional medical help, a prompt First Aid can significantly give relief to the patient from pain.” He further added that First Aid Training empowers an individual to take immediate action that may save a life in critical situation.

Mini Golf Team of school bring laurels to school at State Level Mini Golf Tournament organized by DSO and Maharashtra Mini Golf Association

Under Directorate of Sports and Youth Services, Maharashtra State Pune, State Level School Mini-Golf Tournament: 2023-24 was jointly organized by District Sports Office, Nagpur, District Sports Council, Nagpur and Maharashtra Mini Golf Association at Sports Complex Ground, Mankapur, Nagpur from 6th to 10th February 2024. Giving an outstanding performance, seven students of Bhavan’s Bhagwandas Purohit Vidya Mandir, Ashti brought laurels to school in the tournament. In Under-17 Girls Category, Ms Mani Kesri and Ms Arna Bais secured a Gold Medal. In Under-14 Boys Category, Mast. Dhruv Rathi and Mast. Aditya Chauhan bagged a Silver Medal. In Under-19 Boys Category, Mast. Atharv Kesri clinched a Silver Medal while in Under-17 Boys Category, Mast. Rishi Agrawal and Mast. Harshit Sinha won a Bronze Medal each. The students were trained and escorted by their Sports Teachers

Farewell for Std. XII students

School has organized farewell ceremony for the outgoing students of Std. XII in school premises. On this ocassion Mast Vedant Sharma, Mast. Prabhas Kumar, Ms. Gurleen Kaur Sahegal and Ms. Manashree Ashtikar were honoured with Mast BVM and Ms BVM Awards at the hands of School Principal Smt. Vandana Bisen.

MOD-QUEST- 2024 Inter-school Quiz Competition

Modern School, Koradi Road, Nagpur organized ‘MOD-QUEST- 2024 Inter-school Quiz Competition for students of Std. IV to Std. IX on 10th February 2024. A team of two students brought laurels to school by giving an excellent performance in the competition. In Junior Category school team bagged the Third Prize and participatns received a Certificate and a Medal.

Vidhnyan Bharati Vidarbha Pradesh Mandal Science Exhibition 2023-24

Vidhnyan Bharati Vidarbha Pradesh Mandal organized Science Model Exhibition from 17th Feb to 19th Feb 2024 at Anjuman Engineering College, Sadar, Nagpur. Schools from all over Vidarbha Region participated in this event. Students of Bhavan’s Bhagwandas Purohit Vidya Mandir, Ashti bagged Second Prize in this event. The Students are Mast. Manan Agrawal (IX) and Mast.Anvesh Somisetti (IX). They were awarded with Certificate of Merit and Cash Prize of Rs. 5000.

Pottery and Clay Artifacts Workshop

Seven-day long Pottery and Clay Artifacts Workshop was organized at Bhavan’s B.P. Vidya Mandir, Ashti from 1st September to 7th September 2023. The objective of this workshop was to develop the skills and interests in three-dimensional sculpture with Clay Art. Shri Mahesh Gate, a pottery artist demonstrated how to mold clay into different artistic shapes, containers, pots, etc. on the pottery wheel. He also gave some basic information about the type of clay to be used; how to prepare the clay for molding and how to give expected shape to the clay.

To encourage the students and teachers, Principal, Smt. Vandana Bisen herself tried her hand on the pottery wheel molding clay into beautiful shapes. A few teachers also made an effort to learn this art. Around 200 students of Std. VI participated in this workshop. It was a very great and memorable experience for the students. The students also prepared many artifacts – like Lord Ganesha, different animals like elephant, dinosaur, fruits, vegetables etc. from the clay.

Marathi Bhasha Divas celebration at Ashti

Birth Anniversary of eminent Marathi poet Vishnu Vaman Shirwadkar, popularly known as ‘Kusumagraj’ was celebrated with great fervor in Bhavan’s B.P. Vidya Mandir, Ashti on 27th February 2024. This day is also celebrated as ‘Marathi Bhasha Divas’ to commemorate this renowned Marathi poet Kusumagraj and to honour the greatness of Marathi literature. School Principal Smt. Vandana Bisen presided over the function. The programme began with the presentation of ‘Maharashtra State Song – Jai Jai Maharashtra Majha’ praising Maharashtra and its culture. Taking into account the significance of the day, various competitions were conducted on this occasion. Highlighting Marathi Language and Marathi Culture, students of Std. III presented ‘Bhulabai Songs’, Std. IV students presented ‘Patriotic Songs’, Std. V Students presented ‘Bharud’, while Std. VI students participated in a Quiz Competition and Std. VII students narrated stories expressing the pain and feelings of human life. Music teachers Mrs Jayashree Chanekar and Mr Harshal Thanekar looked after the musical aspect of the song performances presented by the students. These competitions were organized by the Marathi Department. Students of Class III to Class VII participated enthusiastically in these competitions. Smt. Aruna Vaidya and Smt. Sunita Mahato judged all the performances. The judges said that the competition was quite tough and it was very difficult to judge their performances. A handwritten book ‘Muktangan’ based on Marathi Creative Writing was released at the hands of Principal Smt. Vandana Bisen.
